GOVERNANCE ACADEMY

A special program for board members of values-based institutions.

About Governance Academy

Boards of values-based organizations require skills, insights, and levels of determination that boards of other, non-values based, banks do. This program, created by the Institute for Principle Based Governance with the support of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values, is here to support and strengthen boards of values-based institutions because governance at the highest level is critical to ensuring values are truly integrated into all aspects of the business.

Program objectives

After the program, all participants should be able to answer the following questions

After the program, our participants are able to:

  • Understand how board members in Values-Based/Mission led institutions have a different role to play
  • Have the communication methods and tools to be able to express the unique perspectives of values-based institutions.
  • Host generative and compelling dialogue with stakeholders and operating board members
  • Understand the dilemmas that need to be reconciled when working across cultures, business approaches, and social conventions.

Friendly environment that unleashed profound discussion between like minded people. “

“I enjoyed the course very well. Best that I have attended at content, speakers, organizers, and learning environment. Very useful with high relevance to bank’s needs fortified with up- to-date information and an analytic future look. I have recommended it to my board member colleagues and the CEO. It triggered a developmental action plan to enhance the performance of the bank .”
